Respite Services
Respite Services for Youth and Individuals with Disabilities
Bridging Gapss, LLC provides individualized respite services to youth with disabilities in their home and community environments. Our goal is to provide families and caregivers with temporary relief while ensuring the youth receives safe, meaningful, and engaging support.
Respite services are tailored to each individual's needs, interests, abilities, and goals. Staff may support youth with recreational activities, social engagement, community outings, daily routines, development of independence, communication, safety awareness, and participation in age-appropriate activities. Services may take place in the individual's home, neighborhood, or community settings such as parks, libraries, recreational facilities, community events, and other appropriate locations.
Our staff focus on promoting independence, building positive social skills, encouraging appropriate decision-making, and supporting youth in participating in their communities while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Group Respite Services for Individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia
Bridging Gapss, LLC also provides group respite programming designed to support individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia while providing caregivers with a temporary break from caregiving responsibilities.
Our group setting provides a structured, welcoming, and supportive environment where participants can engage in socialization, cognitive stimulation, recreational activities, music, games, arts and crafts, movement activities, conversation, and other purposeful activities based on individual abilities and interests. Staff provide supervision and encouragement while promoting dignity, independence, social connection, and meaningful engagement. Activities are adapted to accommodate different cognitive and functional abilities, with an emphasis on maintaining a familiar routine and creating a positive environment for participants.
The program also gives caregivers an opportunity to attend to personal responsibilities, work, appointments, errands, or self-care while their loved one participates in a safe and supportive group environment.
